Event Production

I am a tech nerd and a total perfectionist.

What is often considered overkill in a private setting is essential at events. Because there is no “undo” button for an event. There is only one moment when everything has to work—technically, organizationally, and personally.

Experience in IT and A/V services

My path into live event production led me through IT, lighting, and responsibility for complete technical setups in club and theatre environments. Since 2013, I have been fully dedicated to live event production and work as lead technician at the Oberangertheater in Munich.

After more than 1,600 live events, I have seen just about everything — nervous speakers, singers with strained voices, last-minute program changes. Being a solution-oriented person, each production adds new routines and practical workarounds. Today I know that even if a five-piece musical ensemble showed up unannounced, I might be briefly annoyed — but the show would run flawlessly.

My approach to precision and quality

For me, precision does not mean making things unnecessarily complex. On the contrary, it begins long before the event — in careful planning, asking the right questions, and establishing clear workflows. The goal is a result that is technically beyond doubt, without drawing attention to itself. Neither the client nor the audience should notice how much detailed work happens behind the scenes.

Even a small event should feel like a large-scale production. If I am convinced that additional equipment or crew will make a decisive difference, I address this openly — not out of sales pressure, but based on experience.

I do not leave technical decisions to chance.

I work efficiently, in a structured manner, and with a strong focus on solutions. Time is money — which is why I optimize processes, question established standards, and take new approaches when they lead to better results. My clients should pay for quality, not for unnecessary extras.

The origins of dL Event- und Medientechnik

dL Event- und Medientechnik was founded out of this very mindset. Efficiency, well-coordinated workflows, and reliable systems can only be achieved when the right tools are truly available. Many of the solutions I use rely on specialized, high-end equipment that is simply not available on the rental market — or does not make economic sense.

The logical consequence was a pragmatic step: building up the required equipment in-house. Not as an end in itself, but to work independently and ensure consistent quality at all times.

Today, dL Event- und Medientechnik is about far more than owned equipment. It is a reliable network of experienced, trusted partners across Europe — with clearly defined roles, established workflows, and a shared understanding of quality. I work with a core team in which everyone knows their strengths and takes responsibility.

Growth is pursued deliberately only to the extent that I can personally oversee it. I remain closely involved in every event — because this is the foundation of the quality we stand for.
